Tailwheel Checkout

Also known as “conventional gear” aircraft, the tailwheel aircraft landing gear design was the first and most common in the early days of aviation. Since then, nosewheel aircraft have become the most popular type as they afford better landing and taxiing stability. However, there is still demand for tailwheel aircraft as they have a reputation for being great bush flying and aerobatic planes. Many aviation employers still use tailwheel aircraft, and expect any prospective pilot employee to have tailwheel experience.

One of the advantages of our tailwheel aircraft is that it’s configured with a joystick instead of a yoke, which offers much more intuitive and responsive controls.

We’re here to help you get some tailwheel experience for that bush flying job, personal aircraft, or that next challenge as a newly minted Private Pilot.
