Mountain checkout

Flying in the mountain valleys of the Rockies is a unique and unforgettable experience - but it can be a dangerous one too, without proper training.

Our mountain checkout will give you the tools you need to enjoy mountain flying safely. The checkout consists of a three hour ground school and a flight to Golden or Valemount.

The ground school covers topics such as mountain weather, decision making, and emergency procedures.

The flight will not only be scenic, but informative. You will control the aircraft and be taught ridge crossings, canyon turns, and valley flying techniques, among others.

*Costs are approximate as ground school costs are split between the number of students, and the flight length will depend on the weather that day.
